Working within the education sector delivering careers based information to students in schools.  These projects take the form of lively and fun performances covering topics such as Option Choices and Post 16 Options. Tours can be anywhere in the UK. We like the coiffed hair, shiny, rather naff suit, and definitely the arrogant sneer - again a neat moustache is needed. 3. Yakuza boss - old, greying, fatherly, but dead-eyed. Would be wearing robes. Must have neat, conservative hair (No Mr Miyage's). Should appear all-powerful and sage-like. 4. Nigerian Crime Lord - Think Idi Amin - Probably a huge, larger than life character - a thick-set, arrogant, powerful figure... 5. East-European prostitute - the most difficult as we don't have a definitive character to go by, yet will probably be the most prominent on the cover... We reckon young, but well-worn, blonde but with a crap tan, and maybe a few roots showing. Must look Eastern European. We will be shooting all in one day, so every model won’t be needed for more than two hours. As it is an editorial job, the budget is tiny: £200 + agency fee each for two hours. University of Hertfordshire are casting for their production "A Letter from a Soldier", which is a psychological drama. We aim for this to be 5-10 minutes and the target audience is 18-35 year olds. The production is based on a poem by Robert Kerry Gardiner. It is set in modern day England where a husband is separated from his wife whilst fighting in Iraq. The wife, Jenny, opens the door one morning to find a letter on the doorstep from her husband. Opening the letter she starts to read and reminisces about her husband. The poem describes the inner thoughts of the soldier who feels vulnerable due to the intensity of battle. He is concerned that he may be killed in action, and unable to return home to his beloved family. Scenarios will be shown with the wife's thoughts. Some of these thoughts include; their daughters wedding day, their two sons growing up, she also gets images in her mind of her husband on the battlefield. He was succeeded by his son, who led the Dúnedain as Arathorn II, and was in turn succeeded by his own son, Aragorn. Other small roles available plus we will need supporting artists, ideally people with appropriate costumes, like re enactors. Auditions will be held shortly in London and possibly Cambridge. I'm afraid that this is an unpaid job as typically this is a self-funded low/no budget project and everyone involved is working for free. Any money I have goes towards making it look great so we can all be proud of it. This is a 'labour of love' project and as a fan film we cannot make a profit due to copyright reasons. We do endeavour to work around everyone's paid work commitments but although this project is unpaid I do expect a certain amount of commitment from everyone involved, as a lot of time, effort and money is being put into this production. I plan to arrange travel and organise catering when filming and supply you with a copy of the finished film and showreel material. As part of this film you will gain valuable skills for your CV like stage combat training and possibly horse work. As I am a final year Television Production degree student at Middlesex University and this is my final production it means that there is sadly very little budget, although (London) travel costs will be covered and there will be a bit of money about for lunches etc. On the plus side, it also means that the level of dedication shown by the specially hand-picked team towards this project will be second to none as, on a personal level, it is probably one of the most important pieces of film the team will ever make! The basic plot of the film (10 minutes) follows a young Muslim man and a perceived terrorist plot – but that's all I can tell for now! Needless to say it is a gritty film about terrorism, public perceptions, assumptions, media responsibility and other issues. You will be working in a group of 4 actors delivering a one hour show to Italian children in English and after the show you will run between 1 and 2 workshops each, lasting approximately 40 minutes each. You will perform two shows a day Monday through till Friday each week and one on a Saturday morning. You should also ask yourself if you are the type of person that could work happily with 3 other people for 4 months as unlike theatre in education in the UK you will be with your colleagues virtually 24hours a day for the whole employment period.
